Grants

By choosing an environmentally friendly energy production, it is possible to apply for different grants that help cover the costs of the solar panel systems.

1. Elering renewable energy grant

The grant will be paid for the solar energy that is sold back to the utility company. Under 50 kW capacity solar systems can apply for this grant if:

  1. Electricity will be produced on the 31st of December 2020, by the latest and there are no previous grants from the national grant system (applied from 01.01.2019)
  2. The producer will have the right to apply if the utility company has acknowledged the production system compliant with regulations
  3. To apply for the grant you must:
    • register an application on the green.elering.ee website or send it by email with a pre signed contract to temenetlus@elering.ee
    • present a confirmation that the recipient has not received national investment grants
  4. The application must be registered within 30 days of uploading by the processor

2. KredEx Private Home Renovation Support

The support is meant for associations and local governments who wish to renovate their apartment building as fully as possible. The support can be combined with loans issued by credit institutions and the apartment association’s own funds. The support is available at rates of 15%, 25% and 40% (25%, 35% and 50% respectively in Ida-Viru County) of the total cost of the renovation, depending on how complete the renovation is.

3. KredEx Solar Panel Investment Support

The purpose of this support is to increase the share of electricity produced from renewable sources and to reduce emissions from energy-generating systems.

Activities eligible for the support:

  • – expenses for designing the installation project for the energy-generating equipment
  • expenses for purchasing energy-generating equipment
  • expenses for purchasing energy-generating equipment
  • expenses for designing the installation project for the energy-generating equipment

Only activities described in the construction design project will receive support.

4. PRIA – Investment grant for diversification in rural areas.

This grant’s main purpose in the rural areas (mainly places further from county centre’s) is to encourage continuous economy growth and to create attractive new jobs for further development.
