More control over your home’s electricity
Store solar energy, use electricity when it suits you and add backup power if you need it. We combine Huawei batteries, a MAP0 hybrid inverter and SmartGuard T0 into a solution for your home.
Find your battery size → Request a personal quoteYour price depends on your home, existing equipment and installation.

The right battery size starts with your consumption
We start with your electricity consumption, solar installation and goals, then choose a suitable Huawei LUNA2000 S1 battery solution. A battery can be part of a new solar installation or added to an existing system if the equipment is compatible.
| Battery module or system | Example system sizes |
|---|---|
| 5 kWh moduleLUNA2000-5-E1 · S1 series | 5, 10 and 15 kWh |
| 7 kWh moduleLUNA2000-7-E1 · S1 series | 7, 14 and 21 kWh |
| 5 + 7 kWh modulesCompatible mixed-module system | 12, 17 and 19 kWh |
| Multiple battery towersSubject to inverter compatibility | 28, 35, 42 kWh or a larger system |
The table uses system sizes based on model names. The LUNA2000-5-E1 module has 5 kWh of energy and the LUNA2000-7-E1 has 6.9 kWh according to the manufacturer; for example, a system marketed as 21 kWh has 20.7 kWh of usable energy. For larger systems, we check compatibility between battery modules, towers and inverters.
An example of your quote
Huawei LUNA2000 21 kWh battery system + a suitable MAP0 hybrid inverter + optional SmartGuard T0.
Your quote specifies battery capacity, inverter power, energy management, accessories and installation work. If you already have an inverter, we first check its model and battery connection options.
Use more of your own solar energy
The battery stores surplus solar energy for later use, such as in the evening. A suitable capacity helps match generation to consumption.
Schedule usage around electricity prices
With suitable energy management and settings, charging and consumption can be scheduled around electricity prices. Actual savings depend on price differences, consumption, network charges and system losses.
Huawei hybrid inverters
MAP0 responds to the load on each phase
Household consumption is rarely distributed equally across three phases. Huawei MAP0 supports 100% three-phase asymmetric loads: the system can distribute power according to the actual demand on each phase, within the equipment and installation limits.
- Asymmetric operation. Different amounts of power can be supplied to the three phases.
- Solar and battery in one system. The hybrid solution is compatible with Huawei LUNA2000 and also supports charging the battery from the grid.
- Sized for your home. The SUN2000-MAP0 series includes 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 kW models.
- FusionSolar monitoring. Track generation, consumption and battery operation. Remote monitoring requires a suitable communication connection.
- Ready for backup power. A compatible battery and SmartGuard T0 enable a three-phase backup solution.
MAP0 inverter warranty
Huawei’s European terms specify a standard 10-year warranty for SUN2000-MAP0. Residential SUN5000-MAP0 models may qualify for up to 15 years of warranty when connected to FusionSolar SmartPVMS and the applicable manufacturer conditions are met. An internet connection alone does not automatically give every MAP0 inverter a 15-year warranty.
Your personal quote specifies the exact warranty period and connection requirements for the selected model.
Backup power during a grid outage
SmartGuard T0 helps keep essential appliances running
SmartGuard-63A-T0 combines a compatible Huawei inverter and battery into a backup power system. During a grid outage, it isolates the backed-up part of the installation from the public grid and supplies selected appliances from the battery and, where available, solar panels.
- Automatic switchover. With MAP0, the manufacturer’s specified switchover time is up to 20 ms with a suitable configuration and settings.
- Single- and three-phase appliances. With MAP0, backup can be planned for both types of appliances.
- Your home’s priorities. We review the requirements and starting power of appliances such as lighting, a refrigerator, a router and heating equipment.
Backup power is a separately designed function requiring a compatible inverter, battery, SmartGuard T0 and modifications to the electrical installation. Simultaneous backup for the entire house is not possible in every system. Runtime depends on battery charge, appliance power and solar generation; battery capacity in kWh is not the same as backup power in kW.
How we build your solution

Questions before you decide
Can a battery be added to an existing solar installation?
Often it can, but this depends on the exact inverter model, software and installation. Send us the model name or a photo of its rating plate so we can check compatibility.
Does the S1 series also have a 5 kWh module?
Yes. Huawei LUNA2000-5-E1 is an S1 series 5 kWh battery module. Alongside the 7 kWh module, it allows different combinations, including systems with model names of 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19 and 21 kWh. Larger systems can be designed with multiple battery towers and a suitable inverter. Start by calculating a suitable battery size.
Does a battery automatically supply power during an outage?
Installing a battery alone is not enough. Backup requires a suitable inverter, SmartGuard T0, correct wiring and settings. Your quote describes which appliances receive backup and the applicable power limits.
Why is there no system price on the page?
Existing equipment, battery capacity, backup, wiring and installation work differ between properties. Your personal quote gives you the price for equipment and work suited to your home.
