To reach Tier 1 the producer must be connected to at least a few large projects, which are financed by banks – that means with Tier 1 panels you can always feel confident that even with the constant development of technology, the panels will still be profitable today and in future.
MECHANICAL LOAD TEST
In the mechanical load test the panels are test for up to 10 000 Pa of pressure.
DAMP HEAT TEST
In the damp heat test the panels are tested in high temperature and humidity – at 85°C and 85% humidity. 1000 hours at these conditions equals 20 years in field conditions and Hyundai solar panels lose less than 1% of their energy output in those conditions.
Two step fotogalvanic aka the EL-Test (before and after the lamination process), which checks if the module’s surface produces electricity equally.
Fraunhofer’s PID-test inspects energy loss after 48 hours of 50°C and 50% humidity. To pass the test the panel’s energy loss must be below 5%, but Hyundai’s panels have an almost non-existent loss – 0%. At the same time an average Tier-2 panel loses 12,42%.
Unlike many other solar panel manufacturers, who offer a 10 year warranty for their products, Hyundai offers a 25 year warranty for its panels. Because Hyundai is such a big corporation you can be sure that Hyundai actually exists after 25 years unlike many other smaller manufacturers.
